Get the most out of your massage…



• Keep hydrated! Drink water throughout the day in the lead up to your appointment. Avoid caffeine and alcohol.

• If you need to eat, eat light, have a snack or piece of fruit. it is not ideal to eat a heavy meal right before your massage.

• Wear comfortable clothing. This is easier to slip in and out of before and after your massage.

• Make sure you arrive on time if not a little early! If you a rushing or running late to your appointment it will take you longer to relax and you will not get the full benefit of your massage.

• Make sure you go to the bathroom prior to your appointment. The last thing you want to do is have to get up half way through your appointment.

• Relaxing your body and mind with some deep breathing prior to your arrival is beneficial.  

OTHER THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND!
• Tell your therapist if you are allergic to any massage oils or essential oils.
• Report any discomfort during your massage. Advise any problem areas to your therapist prior to starting.

• If you feel dizzy after your massage, don’t get up quickly ... take your time.
• Keep well hydrated prior to your massage as well as increased intake at least 24hours after.

Try to keep the next 24 hours as light work only, preferably stay away from heavy lifting and overexerting yourself.
